What Usually Fails on a LG

LE is the one worth knowing. It often means simple overloading rather than a failed motor — remove half the load and retry before assuming the worst.
Common LG Problems
OE — will not drain
The most common LG call. The pump filter behind the panel at the bottom front collects coins, hairpins and pet hair. Clear it before booking anything. See washer not draining.
LE — motor locked
Genuinely often just an overloaded drum. If it persists on a half load, the rotor position sensor or the motor itself needs attention, and that is where the manufacturer warranty may still apply.
UE — unbalanced
Direct drive machines are sensitive to load distribution. Redistribute first, then check levelling. See washer shaking and banging.
Door will not open
LG holds the lock while water remains in the drum. Drain through the filter and it usually releases. See washer door locked shut.

Is a LG worth repairing?
