A Small Team, On Purpose

COS Washer Repair is a small local operation rather than a franchise. The person who answers the phone knows the jobs, and the person who arrives is the person we told you would arrive.

That matters more than it sounds. Across appliance repair, the single most common thing customers write about afterwards is whether the technician actually knew what they were doing. A small team means we can answer for that.

Meet the Technician

Jason Miller — Lead Technician

Jason has been repairing washers, dryers and home appliances in Colorado Springs for 8+ years. He has completed manufacturer-focused appliance repair training and works regularly on Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, Maytag, GE and Kenmore machines.

“I got into appliance repair because I enjoy finding the problem and getting things working again. Around Colorado Springs, I see a lot of washers that will not drain, will not spin, leak, or simply will not start. I focus on finding the actual cause of the problem instead of recommending parts that are not needed. If a repair is not practical or safe, I will tell the customer honestly.”

Working With Us

We are deliberately a small operation. The person who answers the phone knows the jobs, and the person who arrives is the person we said would arrive. If that changes as we grow, this page changes with it.

We would rather name one qualified technician you can ask for than list a roster you will never meet.

How We Work

Seven steps, and no work starts before you have seen a price.

  1. You call with the brand, model number and what the machine is doing
  2. We give you a likely cause and a price range before anyone drives out
  3. We book a real arrival window and call about 30 minutes ahead
  4. We diagnose on site for $89, testing components separately rather than guessing from a code
  5. You get one number covering parts, labour and warranty, and you approve it
  6. We fix it and clean up, with every safety switch restored
  7. You are covered for [90 days] on parts and labour

What We Will Not Do

Bypass a safety switch

A lid switch or door lock can be bypassed to make a machine run. We will not. A washer running without a working safety switch is a hazard to whoever uses it next, and most often that is a child. If a previous repair left yours bypassed, we will tell you and put it right.

Sell a repair that is not worth doing

Bearings on a sealed plastic tub, gearcase grease in the wash water, a board on a machine past ten years. We say so. See repair or replace.

Add to the bill after you have approved it

If a second fault appears during a repair, we stop and ask.
